Characteristics of Steel Structure

Compared with reinforced concrete structure, masonry structure and wood structure, steel structure has the following characteristics:

 The material of steel is uniform, the quality is stable and the reliability is good. The actual stress situation is in good agreement with the mechanical calculation results.

 Steel has high strength, good plasticity and toughness, strong impact and vibration resistance; therefore, steel structure has light self-weight, such as ordinary steel structure.

 The weight of steel roof truss is only 1/4-1/3 of that of reinforced concrete roof truss with the same span and load.

 It is highly industrialized and easy to transport, install and remove. Therefore, it has the characteristics of high processing accuracy, short manufacturing cycle, high production efficiency and fast construction speed.

 Strong sealability, good heat resistance, can be used to build pressure vessels and large diameter pipelines, long-term withstand less than 150℃environment, steel will not change qualitatively.
