Is it safe to build a steel structure platform in the factory?
Industrial workshops are generally not built into high-rise buildings arbitrarily, so many factory buildings with strong original structures will choose to build partitions in the factory buildings during expansion projects, and the use of steel structure platform partitions is undoubtedly in line with the interests of all parties. So are so many steel platform compartments safe? The answer is yes. After nearly 30 years of use, it has been proved that a properly designed and installed steel structure platform is very safe, and it can support and reinforce the original plant structure, extending the service life of the original factory building.
The following principles should generally be considered in the design of steel structure platforms:
First, ensure the vertical and horizontal rigidity of the steel structure platform structure, connect the plane structure into a nuclei space structure, and enhance the overall stability and spatial rigidity of the plant.
Second, when arranging the structure, factors such as advanced construction technology, improved industrialization, convenient construction, and economical rationality should be considered.
Third, improve the overall rigidity of the structure and reduce lateral movement. In addition to choosing a reasonable structural system, consideration should also be given to reducing the lateral displacement of the structure in terms of plane shape and elevation changes.
Fourth, the plane of the factory building should be as regular, uniform and symmetrical as possible, and the shape should be simple to minimize the torsion effect of the building.
Fifth, ensure the stability of structural components during construction and use, and transfer certain local horizontal loads (such as longitudinal wind loads, longitudinal braking forces of cranes) to the main load-bearing structural components.
Sixth, during the design and construction of the steel structure platform, factors such as settlement, depression and shrinkage, and the complex shape of the original factory building should be considered, and the settlement and expansion should be reasonably arranged and dealt with.
